Propaq LT devices with the Nellcor SPO2 (Model numbers 802LTAN and 802LT0N) within the range of KA002129 through KA027191 and the following serial numbers: KA050687, KA124186, KA 21398, KA21399, KA21407, KA21591, and KA25981.

Serial #'s are found on the back of the device and start with "KA". Click here for an example.

Dear Valued Customer:

Welch Allyn has recently informed you by letter that certain PropaqLT models require a software update. We have since completed development of a Software Update Application to update the above-listed affected devices by your biomed, IT staff, or other technically qualified personnel. This software solution is now available for download.

Note: The Propaq LT v1.60.07 Software Update Application is currently supported on Windows XP and Windows 7 (32/64 bit) operating systems. A Propaq LT charging/communications cradle (008-0873-00) and USB 2.0 cable (008-0882-00) is required to perform this update.

To download and install the update application and update your Propaq LT devices proceed as follows:

A.) Download Update Application

  1. Fill in the fields in the form below.
  2. Click the check box to confirm your agreement to update all of your affected devices
  3. Click the "Submit" button
  4. A Confirmation page is presented with a "Download Update App" button
  5. Click the "Download Update App" button and the file download will initiate.
  6.  The downloaded Zip file will be saved to your PC hard drive.

B.) Install Update Application

  1. Follow section 2 in the instructions link below.

C.) Update your affected Propaq LT Devices

  1. Obtain required equipment for the update per section 1 in the instructions link below.
  2. To update a Propaq LT, follow section 3 in the instructions link below. 

Note:  The update application will only update devices that need and can accept the update.  The update application will recognize and identify any device not needing the update and will indicate "No update needed".  Also, there are a small number of devices that will need an update but Welch Allyn service centers must perform the update, the update application will recognize those devices and present the following message: "Cannot update – return to a Welch Allyn Service Center for update".
